Description

Is Magnesium for me?

Magnesium is an essential macro-mineral required by the body to perform a variety of vital functions, including its involvement in normal protein synthesis and over 300 different enzyme-based reactions. Magnesium plays a key role in muscle performance and recovery as well as the promotion of relaxation and sleep. Many of us are magnesium deficient without even knowing it and therefore almost everyone can stand to benefit from adding a magnesium boost into their supplement regime.

The Food Based form of magnesium is significantly better absorbed than magnesium oxide or magnesium glycinate. Synthetic magnesium supplements can often cause stomach upset. Our magnesium is gentle on the stomach without sacrificing effectiveness. Designed to support quality rest and a busy lifestyle.

What is Food Based?

Food Based supplements mean you receive nutrients in the form nature intended. Nothing synthetic and no need for extreme doses to get the intended effect. Food Based vitamins and minerals are just that; food that has been grown using a special process to develop a high concentration of the naturally occurring vitamins and minerals.

The "Relaxation Mineral"

Described as “an antidote to stress” and “the most powerful relaxation mineral available” Magnesium is one of the most common, natural elements found on Earth and is a highly important element of the human diet; being one of 24 essential vitamins and minerals; a list of classified natural substances required by the body to perform vital reactions and functions.

Magnesium is involved in over 300 different enzymatic-related reactions as well as being heavily involved in the regulation of sleep. Those with a magnesium deficiency can often experience restless, poor quality sleep and even insomnia. Magnesium works by regulating and increasing levels of the neurotransmitter GABA, which takes effects directly in your brain to promote relaxation and calm. Magnesium also interacts with melatonin, “the sleep hormone”, to balance sleep cycles and induce a more restful night’s sleep.
