Is Vitamin C for me?

Vitamin C is essential for the body’s process of collagen formation that leads to healthy bones, gums, skin and teeth. The Food Based vitamin C used in our formula is 1,210% more bioavailable in the body than synthetic isolated vitamin C; ascorbic acid.

Our vitamin C formula also contains the mineral zinc, in its Food Based form, for added efficacy. The food-form zinc is 75% better absorbed and used by the body than synthetic isolated forms such as zinc sulphate or gluconate.

Our Vitamin C & Bioflavanoids blend is more than simply vitamin C. The 120mg of added naturally occurring bioflavonoids are a natural by-product of the Food Based process of creating vitamin C. Bioflavonoids belong to the flavonoids class of antioxidants and perform a number of beneficial functions in the body.

What is Food Based?

What’s in a vitamin? Synthetic vitamins often consist of a single substance; a chemically isolated form of what we consider to be an essential nutrient to health. Food Based vitamins are different; containing a matrix of naturally occurring nutrient components including glycoproteins, lipids, bioflavonoids and vitamins. All these components work in synergy to help your body make the most of the nutrients it is provided.

Too early to tell

Started taking me and became ill within a week unsure if related. Continued with supplements and felt that I’m recovering quicker than I would normally

Loving my Link products.

Good job bad taste

I think they probably do a good job, but I don’t really like the taste in my mouth when I put the capsule in.

Great product

I've been using the vitamin c pills for about a month now. I love knowing that I'm getting all my vitamins in a healthy way without having to worry about eating the right foods. I work as a primary teacher and have managed to avoid getting a cold when I'm surrounded by 30 snotty children- something must be working!

Bioflavonoids are a water-soluble, bioactive class of secondary metabolites originating from various plants and fungus. They are involved in many functions of the plant including providing pigmentation for flower colour, UV filtration and chemical messaging.

So how do they benefit us? Bioflavonoids are found naturally occurring in foods with specific varieties, including hesperidin, rutin, naringin, and quercetin being found in citrus fruits. Bioflavonoids possess antioxidant activity and immune-boosting properties that work in synergy with vitamin C. These substances are more than just antioxidants too; they have been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. As a general rule, the more colourful a food is, the higher its bioflavonoid component.
