Many people struggle to get adequate vitamin D, particularly during the winter months when sunshine (the main source of vitamin D for most people) is in scarce supply. Our vitamin D complex offers 500IU of Food Based® vitamin D2 and 500IU of vitamin D3 from lichen. We've also added vitamin K1 which helps to maintain a healthy immune system and support bone structure and integrity and vitamin D-rich shiitake mushroom extract. The Department of Health recommends that everyone in the UK over the age of five, should consider taking a daily vitamin D supplement, particularly between October and March.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin and is essential for the maintenance of good health. As well as helping to maintain normal blood calcium levels, it aids the maintenance of healthy bones and normal muscle function. In addition to this, vitamin D plays an integral role in regulating the immune system. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of bone health as well as supporting healthy blood clotting. Together they work synergistically in regulating calcium metabolism. To this, we've added shiitake mushroom to provide added immune support within the complex.

Ingredients: Shiitake mushroom extract (30% polysaccharides), capsule (vegetable cellulose), bamboo extract; bio enhanced vitamin K (phytomenadione), vitamin D2 with enzyme digested saccharomyces cerevisiae (fermented non hexane washed soya), (alfalfa) to become an integral part of a food matrix; vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol extracted from lichen). The vitamin D3 that we use is sourced from lichen which is extracted from algae, a rich source of vitamin D. The vitamin D2 is Food Based®. This means that our unique Food Based® process transforms the starting material, ensuring the vitamin D is in a structure that resembles the vitamin D present in food, attached to the essential cofactors required to enhance absorption within the body.
